Wine of My Month

Even in 2020 it’s possible to have a few wins, they just might be on a smaller scale than what we’re used to. But, no matter the year, I think we all feel a sense of pride when we are able to pick a good wine off the rack. Going in blind, having done no research what-so ever and then nailing it with a easy going, fruity, full bodied cab! Velvet Moon, from Trader Joe’s was a delight for this weary, overworked palate. Surprisingly, I was able to hold off opening it for a few days until the day before Thanksgiving where we could fully embrace the bold flavors sitting by the fire in quiet isolation without any pesky food pairings, knowing tomorrow would be ..more..isolation..but still with a full day of cooking and eating. Delicious, accessable, and under $10.00 – you can’t lose!
